400 NOT OUT: ADAM FORSTER REACHES HISTORIC ROBINS MILESTONE

North Shields FC is proud to celebrate Club Captain and Wembley hero Adam Forster, who made his 400th appearance for the Robins during our weekend fixture against Shildon.

Since arriving at Silkeys Lane in 2012 from Blyth Spartans—signed by former manager Graham Fenton—”Fozzy” has been an incredible servant to the club, quickly becoming a firm fan favourite and an integral part of one of the most successful eras in our history.

His journey in red began with immediate silverware, helping North Shields return to the First Division of the Northern League by securing the Second Division title in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season—a memorable 3-2 victory away to rivals South Shields.

The landmark moments only grew from there. In May 2015, Fozzy wrote his name forever into North Shields folklore under the Wembley arch. With the Robins trailing 1-0 in the Isuzu FA Vase Final against Glossop North End, Forster popped up to score the dramatic winning goal, securing a historic 2-1 victory and lifting the trophy in front of thousands of travelling supporters. That triumph was quickly followed by more silverware as the Robins lifted the Northumberland Senior Cup, defeating his former club Blyth Spartans at St James’ Park.

In 2019, Forster was appointed Club Captain, taking over the armband from fellow FA Vase-winning skipper Kevin Hughes. As leader on and off the pitch, Fozzy helped guide Brian Smith’s side through key transitions and anchored the squad to the Northern League Division One championship title in the 2021–22 season.

Reaching 400 appearances is a monumental achievement in modern non-league football. Adam Forster has been nothing short of an exemplary leader, a true club hero, and a player who embodies everything North Shields FC stands for.

On behalf of the committee, management team, players, and every single supporter at the Daren Persson Stadium: Congratulations, Fozzy, and thank you for your unbelievable commitment to the Robins!
